WEEKLY inspirations

These weeks have been flying by lately, but I think it's safe to say spring is officially here. Philly has been a mix of super awesome weather (70 and sunny), and super crappy weather (cold and rainy) - but it hasn't snowed lately, so I'll take those odds any day. This week is pretty jam-packed with social and work events (no complaints here), so I'm looking forward to a fast-paced productive week.

What I'm digging this week (in no particular order):

  • If you haven't already voted for HONEY (SNORT Rescue's blind foster pug) in the Tournament of Tails, do it NOW! That's the rescue I volunteer for, and adopted my Sebastien from!
  • All the spring colors.
  • Spring style is officially in play, and I ain't mad.
  • Gonna plant some colorful succulents to adorn my windowsills this weekend.
  • Just a really,really pretty geode.
  • Loving the colorful collages from Tyler Spangler
  • If there was ever a bag made for me....
  • It's asparagus season! The most wonderful time of the year. I'm already stock piling new recipes for the occasion.
  • I'm not a bug fan, but the composition of this tattoo is beautiful.
  • The most perfect patterned fabric ever.
  • A deliciously healthy recipe that even includes (gulp) kale.

WEEKLY inspirations

Sorry for the long pause in posts - the last two weeks have been FILLED with lots of work, night events, and most importantly, beautiful weather! With days that are close to 70 degrees here in Philly, who can sit and focus at a computer? Not me - which is why this is a short and sweet post with some things I've been loving as of late.

So here's what I'm digging this week (in no particular order):

  • Seriously considering this haircut/color combo. LOVE IT.
  • Reorganizing my clothing rack this weekend. Hello spring clothes!
  • I've been on an asian food kick lately (when am I not though?), and this rice and tofu recipe sounds amazing.
  • This awesome reusable/removable wallpaper in SO many different designs (I want them all!)
  • Cutest little cottage/guest house.
  • How gorgeous is that pink canyon?
  • And also....how gorgeous is that pink couch?
  • Obsessed with this yoga girl pattern - and all DesignComb's other patterns here
  • 70's style is back, and I'm not mad.
  • Super cool wall-mount skull bottle opener.
  • Simple and beautiful fern tattoo.
  • Love this LED heart light from Target.

WEEKLY inspirations

Yesterday was an amazing little taste of spring here in Philly (it was 65 degrees!), and it's almost like I completely forget other seasons exist until a day like that happens and it's like wow. Just wow. I took a great hike around a park near my parent's house with the pups, and spent the day relaxing and enjoying not being bundled up in layers and jackets galore. I'm hoping that easy-going mentality (and the unbelievable weather) lasts throughout the whole week. Happy Monday!

What I'm digging this week (in no particular order):

  • Flight of the Conchords will be touring this summer! As a super fan of them, you better believe I'll be there.
  • These grilled asparagus and ricotta pizzas look amazing.
  • Another easy chickpea and feta salad - love these recipes.
  • Watercolor-y pink and yellow tones for spring inspiration.
  • Dreaming of sandal weather. So close, yet so far.
  • This incredibly realistic forest wallpaper.
  • Beautiful mandala tattoo.
  • I love Hattie Stewart - and her addition to this Playboy cover is phenomenal.
  • These blackberry and meyer lemon gin and tonics sound delicious.
  • Donut cones are now a thing, and I must have one. Must. Have. One.

WEEKLY inspirations

A short and sweet post today since this week FLEW by and I still have so much I want to get done - because hell if I'm going to do any work on Saturday or Sunday ;) Have a great weekend!

  • Everything about this look - from the hair to the tattoos to the shorts (even though I'm very anti-shorts), is on point.
  • Awesome DIY shoe rack.

WEEKLY inspirations

I'm finally getting back into the swing of things since January has been insanely busy, and I'm looking forward to doing a few posts a week again. I've been working on quite a few design projects on the side as of late, which has really been giving me a ton of inspiration - not only in my designs, but in other areas too (like getting new tattoos, making new recipes, and rearranging my apt.) I'm looking forward to doing a fair amount of nothing this weekend, which will be great since the last two weekends were crammed with events.

So here's what I'm digging this week (in no particular order):

  • I've been having a major crush on celestial art lately. I just love the contrast of white and gold against dark black so much.

  • Those extremely fancy + delicious looking donuts.

HELLO 2016

Well well well, look who's here. 2015 flew right by, and 2016 is here to let me know I'm getting old and will be turning 30 this year. Joy. But overall, 2015 was a great year of change, and I hope 2016 will bring health, happiness, and success to everyone who works for it. Now that I'm back to my normal blogging schedule (sorry for the extended holiday - but I needed it!), I look forward to adding a few new categories to the mix, and updating a few old. But for now...

Here's what I'm digging this week (in no particular order):

  • Vintage + modern spaces.
  • Monochromatic + chic style.
  • Simple + complex line tattoos.
  • Everything on toast.
  • This recipe for spicy roasted cashews.
  • Blonde blonde hair with black black eyeliner.
  • Pink + gold + black color pops.

WEEKLY inspirations

Eek - I can't believe it's Christmas in t-minus four days! This month flew by so fast, I didn't even have time to post my yearly gift guides! I'm also super behind on having all my gifts ready - though I think after tonight's last shop-stop, I should be ready to wrap everything and call it a day (or year, rather). It's been a weird December since the weather has been so warm, so I'm missing (and dare I say longing for) that winter snow and holiday chill - but either way, this is what I've been loving the last few weeks. Cheers!

What I'm digging this week (in no particular order):

  • Crazy pretty party hair tutorial (that of course makes me not want to chop my hair)
  • Cute cocktail glasses.
  • This Pozole Rojo recipe I am dying to make.
  • Oversized (and very warm) coats.
  • Jennifer Lawrence's new hair cut (even though I find her annoying)
  • Cool geo/pop art nails.
  • This Rosemary Infused Cocktail recipe.
  • This wall decal that I'm totally buying myself for Christmas. I mean, how could I not?
  • Cute little living space.
  • An unbelievably gorgeous flower curtain installation.
  • Kinda love this Subway Stalking style post.

WEEKLY inspirations

THANKSGIVING IS HERE! Probably tied for my favorite holiday (other favorite being Halloween, naturally), Thanksgiving is a true American holiday, in the best, most gluttonous way possible. One of the few times a year I get to eat stuffing (I have no idea why we don't eat stuffing more, besides the fact that it's literally just carbs and fat on a plate) - plus, there's nothing more fun than hanging out with family (and friends!) and just eating a crap ton of food ON PURPOSE. I'm also pretty excited to have a four day weekend, and hopefully do some Black Friday/Cyber Monday online shopping for all my holiday gifts (I dare not actually leave the house on Black Friday - I'm not that brave). Here's to a fantastic short week, perfect November weather, and most importantly, STUFFING.

SO. MUCH. STUFFING.

What I'm digging this week (in no particular order):

  • EATING ALL THE SOUPS. Especially noodle soups lately.
  • The amazing smelling spiced cider candle I picked up is perfect for this time of year.
  • Dark blonde hair for wintertime.
  • All leather outfits - a la Gigi Hadid.
  • Very cool skull planters (love them with those cacti).
  • These very pretty "starburst" style rings.
  • This cool touchscreen cleaner - perfect gift holiday gift for a tech geek.
  • Mixing textures for winter layers, like sleek leather and chunky cable knits.
  • This adorable little gold moon phase dish.
  • Looking forward to walking in the beautiful park near my parent's house with my dogs post-Thankgiving feast (and pre-second Thanksgiving feast later that night, of course)
