WEEKLY inspirations

This week is busy, but I'm loving this crazy warm weather we have here in Philly lately. I'll take 70 degree days and 60 degree nights ANYTIME. So to keep this week's inspirations short and sweet, let's get to it.

What I'm digging this week (in no particular order):

  • This article on 17 Thanksgiving cocktail recipes.
  • Plaid shirt dresses.
  • This brussels sprout recipe (and ALL brussels sprout recipes, really).
  • Those amazing fall colors.
  • CHEESE. Always and forever.
  • This garlic asparagus pasta recipe.
  • All black outfits.
  • Teeny tiny rings!
  • Golden hair.
  • One of my favorite SNORT fosters, Biscuit, is available for adoption!
  • Black and white everything.
  • This amazing tweed coat I got on super sale at Banana Republic for $50!

WEEKLY inspirations

So this October has probably been the most busy I have ever been between work and life. Since I moved this weekend, I can at least check off that added stress from my list. Seriously, moving is THE WORST. So much time, preparation, and money. And oh god, the packing. But if nothing else, it allows you to purge (donate!) your unwanted items (more like items you totally forget you even owned), and simplify/reorganize a little bit. And that's worth it all.

The best part about moving is having a blank canvas for decorating. I am so excited to see what I can do with my new converted warehouse/loft space. Having all those open walls for art is literally giving me heart palpitations. And that huge kitchen all to myself? SO MANY COOKING POSSIBILITIES.

I also went on a quick camping/cabin-ing trip on Friday for our annual camping adventure (we use the term "camping" loosely, trust me). It was so fun, and the gorgeous fall weather was perfect to sit back and relax by the fire. I would have loved to stay the whole weekend, but alas, moving took place Sunday, and there was no way I would be able to function doing camping and moving in one day.

So all-in-all, October has been an adventure to say the least, but I'm definitely looking forward to a much calmer November (I hope!)

So here's what I'm digging this week (in no particular order):

  • This whipped ricotta recipe.
  • Cacti decor.
  • Ultimate comfy bedroom design inspiration.
  • Fall layers with fun texture/fabric combos.
  • That hair color though.
  • Cozy knits - especially in burgundy and marled gray.
  • Modern, open, colorful spaces.
  • Leather skirts.
  • Cute and tiny earring sets.
  • This dinner rolls in a jar recipe (weird, but they sound delish).
  • Adorable school-girl pigtail buns.

WEEKLY inspirations

A quick little post today since I'm really busy and also super sick (the cherry on top of an already stressful week). I'm looking forward to going home, landing on the couch, and not moving for the next 8-15 hours. Blankets and tea can't come soon enough.

Hope everyone is having a great hump day!

What I'm digging this week (in no particular order):

  • This recipe for Butternut Squash pasta.
  • These glasses.
  • Modern design elements.
  • Rashida Jones is always adorable, but this outfit is particularly cute.
  • Pumpkins AND fireplaces - all the best things.
  • This cute little flower pot DIY.
  • Pretty tiles.
  • One-pot recipes for cold weather.
  • Bright workspaces.
  • Care-free hair.
  • This simple and effective key ring design.
  • Plaid everything (especially blankets!)
  • Those beautiful fall colors (and that cottage is perfect).

WEEKLY inspirations

Another weekend that flew by - just like the entire month of September! I've been busy with going to the shore every weekend this past month to visit my grandparents, but they're heading back to Florida this week, so things will be normal again for a bit on the weekends. Unless of course I find a place in Philly that has a November move-in date, in which case Oct. will be filled with packing and organizing! I've been living with my boyfriend for the past 9 months, but it was only temporary since I hate not being in the city - at least SOME of the time. So the plan is to get a little place in the city to call my own, but still be back and forth to his place so the dogs have the best of both worlds! Spoiled pups will have a nice place in the city that we can take long walks to the park from, but also the big yard in the burbs to run around like crazy in. Now if only I could take them to work with me too ;). Anyway, here's to a great October (my favorite month of the year!)

What I'm digging this/last week (in no particular order):

  • Just a super pretty moon photo I found on Pinterest. :)
  • I'm thinking about doing 6 days of vegetarian food, one day with meat for my new diet. I don't eat much meat to begin with, and lately the idea of eating meat for the past few months has really turned me off. Too many Netflix documentaries for sure.
  • These gorgeous opal rings.
  • Floating shelves are my new jam.
  • That glorious, beautiful, wild hair that I can never have.
  • A more realistic look for me than the previous - thinking about going darker for winter.
  • Fluffy sweaters!
  • Totally obsessed with this miso soup - I seriously have it at work at least once a day! It's the perfect snack.
  • Loving the leather backpack trend - though this one is unfortunately way out of my budget, it's so so pretty.
  • Tunics to live in - like this plaid one and this neutral one.

I CANNOT BELIEVE WE ARE HALF-WAY THROUGH SEPTEMBER.

Seriously, this month is FLYING by. The weather has been PERFECT, and I am thoroughly enjoying everything early fall has to offer. This week has been super busy - but in the best way possible. I got an AWESOME new freelance design gig that I'm beyond excited to work on, went to an LCD Soundsystem dance party, tried a new local restaurant in Philly that I've been dying to get into, and had an overall great week at work doing all sorts of cool things. Tonight calls for a relaxed dinner, and tomorrow a trip to the shore to visit my grandparents. I would definitely say this week is a win.

Here's to a great weekend and an even better week to follow! Cheers!

What I'm digging this week (in no particular order):

  • All black outfit ideas - this was made for me.
  • This Thomas Keller Potato Rosti recipe. Get in my belly.
  • My matzo ball soup game is ON POINT these days (thanks to Martha!)
  • This simple tunic in hunter green is perfect.
  • Leather leggings + sweaters.
  • Thick black eyeliner. Duh. Have we met?
  • My inspiration for simple, funny, and very effective branding.
  • Layers on layers on layers. Plus those sunglasses rock.
  • These easy 3-minute hair tricks. Though three minutes for some is like, 15 minutes for me.
  • My fall lumberjack style is officially back in business with my new wood watch and all plaid everything.
  • My favorite English Bully Kayla is available for adoption now! So jealous of anyone that gets to have her! Seriously. So. Jealous.
  • This perfect perfect perfect coat.

WEEKLY inspirations

Keeping it short and sweet today with a quick list of what I'm living and loving this week. Have a great weekend!

What I'm digging this week (in no particular order):

  • More wedding hair! Getting so excited for my good friends' wedding next weekend!
  • This real life Banksy art project.
  • My favorite pair of glasses now comes in a bunch of new colors - including Snappy (top image) - which I just scooped up this week! (my other pair is the below image - in Chai)
  • Those adorable Frenchies in a blanket!
  • This mixed berry smoothy recipe.
  • Adorable day-of-the-week pencils. Especially the pink weekend one.
  • Leather + layers + long hair.

  • Cucumber water is my new jam. Also this graphic is adorable.

WEEKLY inspirations

Since I have been slacking on my WEEKLY inspos, I'm doubling up today with ALL THE INSPIRATIONS as of late. Honestly, I cannot seem to keep up with August - every day has been busy (not complaining!), and I can't believe it's almost September! I finally made it to the shore this past weekend, and look forward to heading there again this weekend, and again in a few weekends (read: WEEKEND OF POPE-APALOOZA). Summer was great this year, but really really ridiculously fast. As much as I love autumn (and I do LOVE autumn), I wish we could go back to July - just for a little bit.

Anyway, here's what I'm digging this/last week (in no particular order):

  • Mini braid/pony combo.
  • Marble patterns.
  • Open space floor plans (this bedroom - swoon).
  • New obsession: cotton candy grapes. MY GOD I LOVE THEM.
  • Also obsessed with these Hungryroot veggie noodles - especially the celery root ones.
  • Little breakfast/hangout nook.
  • This gorgeous smokey makeup look.
  • I love gold. I love crystal. I love this necklace.
  • Blonde. Messy. Perfect.
  • Grungy fall layers.
  • SOUP SEASON IS COMING. Can't wait to make this broccoli cheddar one.
  • Half knot.

WEEKLY inspirations

I keep saying that each week has grown busier and busier the past few months, and man oh man, I really mean it. Summer this year has probably been the busiest one yet - but no complaints! Everything has been awesome, which I'm so thankful to be able to say. My job is great, per usual - but the past few weeks have been especially exciting due to some new projects and challenges. Socially I can't seem to keep up (again, no complaints!) with so many fun dinners out, birthday celebrations, and great nights with family and friends. I've been doing a lot more freelance design work and volunteer work through my favorite dog rescue (of course), SNORT, and both have been really rewarding and challenging creativity-wise. Honestly - knock on wood - everything seems to be really falling into place. Here's to a great start to August (although this morning was a very rough one :/), and perfect wind-down to summer.

What I'm digging this (last) week (in no particular order):

  • Copper accents.
  • How amazing do those coffee iced cubes with milk look? I die.
  • Free People's sweater game is on point this year.
  • Minimalist black shirt/gold necklace.
  • Baby blonde.
  • Hoping to make it the beach a few times in August and September. Hasn't happened yet though.
  • Pineapples are having a moment, and I'm OK with that. This dress and this phone case are legit.
  • This bold and awesome ampersand pillow.
  • Tiny triangle rings.
